Privacy policy
What personal information theoratix.ai collects, why, who we share it with, and your rights.
This policy explains how Theoratix Inc. ("Theoratix", "we", "us") handles personal information when you visit theoratix.ai (the "Site"), contact us, or use the Site's assistant and demos. Personal information that enterprise clients share with us under an agreement is handled as that agreement says.
In short
- We collect what you choose to send us (for example through the contact form), the questions you type into the Site's AI features, and the technical information needed to deliver and protect the Site.
- We do not use analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and the Site loads no third-party scripts.
- We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
- We do not use your messages or questions to train AI models.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing contact@theoratix.ai.
Who we are
Theoratix Inc., 2021 Fillmore St, San Francisco, CA 94115, United States, is responsible for your personal information (the "controller" under data protection laws such as the GDPR). You can reach us at contact@theoratix.ai.
What we collect
Information you give us:
- Contact form: your name, email address, organization (optional), the topic you pick and your message. We receive it as an email in our inbox.
- Emails you send us, including job applications and anything attached, such as a CV.
- Assistant: the questions you type into Ask Theoratix and the conversation during that visit.
- Lemma demo: questions you type into the playground, when live reasoning is switched on. Until then, the playground only shows recorded examples.
Information collected automatically:
- When your browser requests a page, our hosting provider receives technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. This is needed to deliver the Site and protect it.
- Our servers use your IP address for a few minutes, in memory only, to limit abuse of the contact form, the assistant and the demo. It is not stored with your messages.
- Our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
Information stored in your browser: your theme choice and your cookie choice. See our cookie policy.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as health, financial account or government ID details). Please do not include it in messages or questions.
How we use it
- To reply to your messages and follow up on your request.
- To answer the questions you ask the assistant, and to run the demos.
- To consider you for a role you applied for.
- To operate, secure and fix the Site, and to prevent abuse.
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.
- For anything else, only with your consent.
We do not use your messages or questions to train AI models, and we do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
Legal bases (EEA and UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on: our legitimate interests in replying to you and in running and protecting the Site; taking steps at your request before entering a contract (for example, an enterprise inquiry or a job application); your consent, where we ask for it; and compliance with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
The assistant
When the assistant is answering live, the text of your conversation is sent to Anthropic to generate the answer. Anthropic processes it on our behalf under its commercial terms, which do not allow it to use the data to train its models. When it is not live, it says so and answers from a fixed set of questions on our own site, and nothing is sent to Anthropic. Either way, we do not store assistant conversations on our servers. Please do not enter sensitive personal information.
How long we keep it
- Messages and emails: for as long as we need to reply and follow up, and then as part of our business records for as long as they remain relevant, after which we delete them.
- Job applications: for the hiring process and a reasonable period afterwards, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Assistant conversations: not stored by us.
- Rate-limiting data: a few minutes, in memory.
- Hosting logs: for the limited period our hosting provider keeps them.
International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers process information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, for example for information from the EEA or the UK, we use appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Security
The Site is served only over HTTPS, loads no third-party scripts, and access to our systems is limited to the people who need it, protected by multi-factor authentication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to fix problems quickly.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent you have given. To use any of these rights, email contact@theoratix.ai. We will reply within the time the law requires, may need to confirm your identity first, and will not treat you differently for using your rights. You may also use an authorized agent, who will need your written permission.
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
California residents
In the past 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information, from you and from your browser, for the purposes described above: identifiers (such as your name, email address and IP address); professional information (such as your organization, and job application details); and internet activity (technical information about your requests to the Site). We have disclosed them for business purposes to the service providers listed above.
We do not sell or share (as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act) personal information, including that of consumers under 16, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require offering a right to limit. You have the right to know, delete and correct your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for using these rights. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of sale and sharing.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and the UK), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email contact@theoratix.ai and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top shows when the current version took effect. If a change is significant, we will say so on the Site before it takes effect.
